wow! i finally did it!
I have been wanting to join in on a 5k for a few years but never had the guts to sign up for one. But, thanks to one of my best friends ever, she suggested that we do one together.
I finished the 5k in 43 mins and some seconds! I can believe how well I did! My goal was to finish in less than an hour....and hopefully not end up last. I achieved both! It felt so good to accomplish this goal of mine! It felt so good to cross that finish line.
Laura's sisters also joined in on the fun...

Lynette, Rachael, Laura and Me
I totally want to do another one! It was really fun....I know I know...how can running be fun? But it really was....all the people there motivate you to want to just RUN. I didn't run the whole thing. I wogged (walk/jog).....and it felt really good to be out there and move....
I learned a few lessons.....for the next 5K...
- eat something before the race! ( I don't know why I didn't eat! But that was just silly! Next time I will probably eat some toast or a banana...
- pee before the race! ( I felt like I had to pee every time I would start running! It was very annoying! But I guess that is what happens after 4 kids!)
- wear contacts ( readjusting your glasses while running is annoying too)
- get some running shoes. ( my shoes were so old! I needed some new ones)
- get my hair out of my face
- and maybe.....TRAIN.....Yeah....I didn't train at all....and my body complained about it! I was so sore the next few days. I could barely climb the steps to my bed!
- make sure the rest of my day is clear.....(I had a jammed packed day full of activities! My legs were barking at me!)
I cant wait for the next one!

Football Fever
Jacob started playing football this year and he absolutely loves it. It is so fun watching him play! It makes my heart happy. I really do believe that Jacob is the best player out there!
He is great at defense and today he tackled the quarterback and caused him to fumble the ball. I am so proud! I dream to watch him play in college...hopefully OSU! lol
Here are a few pics, enjoy!

A few pics were during a really rainy/muddy day! He was a mess! Was not fun to wash those uniforms.

My new grocery store!
I went to the grocery store today! I really do love to go grocery shopping, especially when I am by myself. But that does not happen often!
Anyway, I went to Aldi's today and found that they have tons of healthy food! They have ground turkey, raw almonds, light dressing, 100% whole wheat bread, skim milk, organic soy milk, frozen veggies, fresh fresh and fresh veggies, light popcorn, 93% ground beef, frozen and fresh boneless/skinless chicken breast and tenderloins, frozen tilapia, and other fish, and tons of snacks that are a brand called Fit and Active.
I spent more that I thought I would, but I bought a ton of stuff.
93% ground beef was $2.99
bag of gala apples $2. 59
red grapes $1.48
broccoli $1.29
cereal $1.49
rice cakes $1.29
apple juice $1.19
almonds $3.79
pita chips $1. 69
light ranch dressing $1.19
graham crackers $1. 25
lite pancake syrup $1.49
cheese $0.99
tuna $1.19
dried mangos $1.39
romaine hearts $1.99
turkey bacon $1.99
bananas $0.89
light popcorn $1.49
ground turkey $2.49
fiber bars (like fiber one bars) $1.89
tilapia $3.99
green beans $0.49
baby carrots $0.99
fresh squash $1.69
l dozen large eggs $1.09
They don't have a large section of fresh fruits and veggies but they had everything that I needed and wanted today. And you have to bag your own groceries and bring your own bags or you have to buy bags for 10 cents each or paperbags for 6 cents each. And don't forget your quarter so that you can borrow a cart. Don't worry, you do get your quarter back when you return your cart!
I am back on the wagon today! Whooo Hooooo! I know I keep writing about how I am going to lose weight! I am going to do it! I promise you! and myself. It is time!!!

all my clothes are black
(sorry about the puctuation today, i only have one hand, gracie is in the other hand and maddie is on my lap.)
iv'e been really bad about posting lately...i cant seem to get enough hours in the day....too many things happening! jacob is playing football, allie started girl scouts, both started school, working full time and taking care of these 4 kids has me very busy!
anyway, i was doing laundry the other day and realized that every one of my shirts was black. every single one! i am hiding behind this color... hiding my fat rolls, hiding my emotion...hiding who i am. i am so tired of hiding. i have noticed through the years that i have become more introverted...my husband says i am snobby....i am not snobby at all....i have become this way because i am embarrassed.....embarrassed of how big i am. ughhhh! it is not a good feeling. hopefully one day i will become who i want to be. i need to believe in myself again...so...with all that i have on my plate, i add another...finding myself.
