Gracie @ 2 months

My Gracie Jade is 2 months old already. I love her beautiful smile....the dimple is just gorgeous!

It is crazy to me that she can already sit in this bumbo seat. Not long ago Maddie was just sitting in it. Her 2 month check up at the doctor went great. She is now 11 pounds 10 oz! She has gained 5 pounds since I brought her home from the hospital.....it's no wonder because she nurses ALL THE TIME! but I don't mind.....these moments will not last forever......and I know that I just need to let things go......like the dishes and the laundry....I can do those things later....

Saying Goodbye

is hard to do...

My husband lost his dad this past Friday. Papa was a good man with a kind heart. He loved his children and family very much. He will be greatly missed by many. Ervin was his "sidekick" growing up and they were very close. His heart is aching a great deal. Ervin is like his dad in many ways......and can see Papa in Ervin .....




One thing about Papa is that he LOVED the Beatles. Every time I hear a Beatles song, I think of him. He passed his love of the Beatles to Ervin and that is something that they will always have.

Here's to you Papa....may you rest in peace....

Losing it

Week one went pretty good. I was on track for 5 out of 7 days. The weekend killed me! I started working out at the YMCA again which felt great! Working out kid free clears your mind and the endorphins just make you feel so good. And the free babysitting is priceless!

Well, I definitely increased my activity, fruit and veggie intake, and meal planning. We didn't eat out all week...until Saturday! It felt good to prepare healthy food for the family. I think my husband really appreciated it. He has been nicer lately!

This week I lost 4.5 pounds! Yay!

It's Monday...time to get back on track!

Back on the wagon!

Yesterday I started back on the weight loss journey. I have lots of weight to lose....lots! The other day I was getting ready for a bridal shower and had NOTHING to wear! I tried on a skirt I wore before I got pregnant and the damn thing didn't even go over my thighs! UGGHHH! I am 30 pounds heavier from pre pregnancy weight.....and I feel every pound...esp in my gutt. and I had 30 more pounds to lose before I even got pregnant....so I need to lose at least 60 pounds! I will post a "before" pic soon. Wish me luck on my journey! I am going to need it!

10 years

10 years ago today we tied the knot.....we have accomplished a lot in our 10 years....a house, 4 kids, a van, staying married.....

I know many times we almost gave up.....but we kept it together...... Since we just had a baby....we really can't do too much to celebrate.....It would be nice if we could like...go to Hawaii or something. : )

Last year we went to The Melting Pot and really enjoyed ourselves and so we are going there again. We are also going to watch a movie! Yay! I am so excited! Eclipse is going to be so fun....even if I am bringing my 6 week old baby!
