Holiday fun

We went to a local light display a few days ago and it was lots of fun. We had some great quality family time and it was pretty affordable. This place had lights, horse carriage rides, games, face painting, Santa, rides, and more.

Did you notice who didn't take a pic with Santa? Yes, Maddie did not want anything to do with the jolly old man. She was terrified and cried and screamed. So,....we didn't make her take a pic.

The kids had such a good time. This is what they looked like when we got home! (Maddie and Gracie were also asleep.)

I love how Gracie is watching Maddie ..... and how just minutes before Maddie placed all these toys out for Gracie to play with....just melts my heart.

four, five, and six

Where do I begin? I have so much to catch up on! Gracie has been growing like a weed and I am trying to keep up. Here she is at around 4 months old! Rocking the Buckeye wear.

All three of my girls have worn this gown for Baptism...I hope some day, one of their girls can wear it.

We went to the doctor today for her 6 month well baby check up. She is weighing in at 15 pounds and 9 oz. which puts her at the 43rd percentile and she is 26 inches long which places her in the 61st percentile.

Gracelyn is a bundle of joy! But she can be quite the drama queen at times....only happy when she is held by someone who is standing up....YES you have to stand up or else she will cry. Spoiled.. She does not sleep through the night yet....maybe one day....I can only hope! She refuses to eat solids! FLAT OUT REFUSES! She closes her mouth tight and swats at the spoon and makes a big mess everywhere. She just started sitting up on her own for a couple of weeks now...getting ready to make that move to start crawling. Not sure if I am ready for that yet. We are still nursing which we are both loving. Her nickname is Gracie Poo.

These past few months have been uneventful....except maybe for the day she fell off the changing table! That was a little scary.....but she was fine...just cried it out for a few minutes....no brain damage!

Life around here has been pretty hectic....cant seem to catch up with housework and organization which is making me grouchy. As long as I can keep up with pictures, I think I might be able to survive this time in my life with 2 kids in diapers and 2 kids in grade school...

we shall see.

Happy half year Gracie Poo!

I blinked

and my baby turned 6 months old! I don't know...but time is moving faster and faster....I cannot keep up. I don't have time for so many things I want to do.....like blog! like count points, like exercise, like cleaning, like laundry.......oh my.....I am overwhelmed! I don't even have time to take a picture and post it for my beautiful 6 month old! I promise...next week, I am going to post her 4, 5 and 6 month milestones! She will be baptized next week too....get ready for some updates!

It was a pretty awesome birthday in my opinion.....especially since it was on a Monday and short notice! We had lots of fun!

wow! i finally did it!

I have been wanting to join in on a 5k for a few years but never had the guts to sign up for one. But, thanks to one of my best friends ever, she suggested that we do one together.

I finished the 5k in 43 mins and some seconds! I can believe how well I did! My goal was to finish in less than an hour....and hopefully not end up last. I achieved both! It felt so good to accomplish this goal of mine! It felt so good to cross that finish line.

I totally want to do another one! It was really fun....I know I know...how can running be fun? But it really was....all the people there motivate you to want to just RUN. I didn't run the whole thing. I wogged (walk/jog).....and it felt really good to be out there and move....

I learned a few lessons.....for the next 5K...

• eat something before the race! ( I don't know why I didn't eat! But that was just silly! Next time I will probably eat some toast or a banana...
• pee before the race! ( I felt like I had to pee every time I would start running! It was very annoying! But I guess that is what happens after 4 kids!)
• wear contacts ( readjusting your glasses while running is annoying too)
• get some running shoes. ( my shoes were so old! I needed some new ones)
• get my hair out of my face
• and maybe.....TRAIN.....Yeah....I didn't train at all....and my body complained about it! I was so sore the next few days. I could barely climb the steps to my bed!
• make sure the rest of my day is clear.....(I had a jammed packed day full of activities! My legs were barking at me!)

I cant wait for the next one!
