rubbery legs

My legs feel like rubber...I just took my first ever Pilate's ball class. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but it surely worked my body out! I was sweating during the class, however I didn't feel too out of breath AND there is no jumping involved and you know what that means! No peeing in the pants.....and I totally liked that part! I will definitely add this class to my routine once in a while.

Today is my official weigh in day and I was up a few pounds from my last weigh in, probably because I've been stuffing my face because I knew this day was fast approaching. I have decided to wipe my slate clean. Today is my new starting weight. I still don't have enough "balls" to post my actual weight on the internet for all to see, so I apologize about that. Getting back on track has been really hard for me lately, so I will journal my intake here for all to see to help keep me on track ( just for the first week).

I am allowed to have 28 points/day with 35 extra points per week. I am not going to use my exercise points for now....that may change later... I also didn't add my extra breastfeeding points in because Maddie is not exclusively nursing anymore and I am probably not burning 10 points a day by making breast milk like I did before....she only nurses around 3 times a day and not for very long......she is too busy!

Here's to a new beginning!

First day of school

Jacob's first day of second grade had arrived! YAY!!!!!

Having a protein packed breakfast of cheesy eggs and milk

This is Jacob and Jacob.....Jacob lives two doors down and they are in the same class this year

I think we may have the largest bus stop, there were 19 kids boarding the bus the morning, here are a few of them

The big yellow bus!

So, now that school has officially started, I was supposed to get back on track with weight watchers and back on my exercise schedule. After I got Jacob on the bus, Allie, Maddie and I hopped on over to the YMCA where I went to K BOX class for the first time in WEEKS! It felt really good to be back on schedule with that. Allie officially starts school on Friday with a phase in day on Thursday. I am totally excited for her.......she will be my little kindergartner this year......how fast time flies! I will definitely post more pics for her first day!
I will start journaling again tomorrow and make my weigh in day tomorrow also....hopefully the scale won't be tooo hard on me.

Maddie's "nine month" visit

Everything went well at the doctor today. Maddie weighs 19 and a half pounds (50th percentile) and is 28 1/4 in. long (55th percentile) so she is right on track. Not too big not too small.....I am a little jealous! : ) I wish I was not too big....not too small......

Maddie also got the flu shot today which I guess is a good thing...I don't get the flu shot because I don't think it works for me......and I don't want to risk feeling ill from it.........so why did I let my baby get the shot??? I am gonna have to think that one over again!

The doctor also wanted to draw a hemoglobin test to make sure she is not iron deficient......and she passed.......she is perfect!

After the check up guess where we went? YUP...we went to COLDSTONE CREAMERY! AAAAAKKKK! I know.........not good for the diet.....but it was sooo goood....and Allie, Maddie and I shared one.... so it could have been worse!

New cousins!

Yesterday we welcomed twin boys, Brayden Jacob and Dominick Alexander to the family! They were born on Aug. 19th at 2:47 and 2:50 by cesarean section. Here are a few pics! Aren't they just adorable!

Maddie 10 months old

Here are the pics from Maddie's 10 month "photo shoot". She wouldn't stay still very much!

Tomorrow she will be going to her "9 month" doctor visit. It is a little behind because the office had to reschedule her appointment. I am curious to how much she weighs now!

Glad I blog!

So, I was thinking about the scrapbook that I am making Maddie of her first year and birth and realized that I didn't have a part for her "firsts" and milestones.....and I thought...."oh my gosh, when did all of these things happen?!?!" Time just flies when you have 3 children! I then realized that I blogged most of these moments.....or at least I know how many months she was. In looking though past posts I found out that Maddie started rolling over at 4 months, sitting up at 6 months, and crawling at 8 1/2 months. I am so glad that I documented that somewhere!!!!

Today, Maddie is 10 months old and she is one busy bee! She loves to MOVE and play. I am so thankful that she is a healthy baby girl! She is FINALLY getting a tooth in. I can actually see it and feel it poking through her sore little gums. I was starting to think this baby was never getting teeth! I kind of knew that she was going to be a late teether because my other two were that way too.

She is trying to walk now. She will pull herself up and start cruising holding onto furniture or whatever moves. She loves it when you hold her hands and walk with her. She has no fear. I think she will be walking by the end of her 10th month. Jacob and Allie were also early walkers.....so not surprised! I really need to baby proof around here now.....the other day she bumped her face on the corner of our glass coffee table and now has a bruise. She took the fall like a man though.

She is also one big eater! She loves to eat and she loves to eat anything. This past month she was introduced to a ton of solid food. She now has the instinct to "chew" and "gum" her food. She loves yogurt, rice, chicken, beef, eggs, juice, bread.....really anything you put in front of her. She is now feeding herself little pieces of food and loves it. She also will drink out of her sippy cup now which is totally awesome! Yay for Maddie! She is still breastfeeding around 2-4 times a day. I don't have to pump while I am at work because I never get uncomfortable or engorged....and when I do pump not much comes out....: ( Hence, she does get supplemented with formula now which is soooo expensive! I wish I qualified for WIC!

My camera is with the hubby today so I will have to post some pics of her later!

Happy 10 months Maddie!

Maintained

I maintained my weight this week! Yay! Considering I went to like 3 parties this week, that is preety darn awesome. I am kind of still in a funk. I didn't exercise all week until yesterday. I did the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and took a walk with my darling children. Today I will go to the Y for the first time this week! Hey....I guess it is better than nothing right? I am still trying to eat right......TRYING......but mostly failing : ).......I am still eating fruits and veggies. I really need to up my water intake though......

I am really having a hard time staying on track when there are so many social gatherings to attend to. I am having a hard time with that balance of allowing myself to have fun and celebrate and counting points. When I am on weight watchers I feel antisocial because I don't want to go out and celebrate or go to parties because I know there will be food there and I will be tempted and I will feel isolated and I will feel DEPRIVED! Isn't that just crazy? Me deprived?
Obviously, I am not deprived....but you know what I mean right?

How do you stay on track when celebrating without feeling deprived?
