yup, I lost two more pounds this week. I am so thankful that I can finally post this because I have been in bed for 4 days with what I think would be the FLU. I haven't had the flu before....and I never get the flu shot....but now I am wondering if I should start! I hate being sick. On the up side of being sick, I think I already lost two more pounds....probably from dehydration.
Anyway, I had a great week on track. I exercised 4 days last week and stayed within my points like a good girl should.
oh and I am happy to announce that ....
I lost 7 pounds in January!

Same
Weigh in this week was uneventful. I actually gained 0.2 lb's...but why count to the tenths? Let's just go with the same! I had a long weekend of eating, drinking and more eating. There was cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, wine, beer, cake....the list goes on. I planned for this splurge of a weekend and I guess I did pretty good. I exercised and I stayed right on plan the remaining days. I also saved every single point I had. My plan worked. Life happens and you can't just ignore it. Celebrations occur and you have to celebrate. The key is getting right back on track instead of splurging every day. Here's to a brand new week.

Aren't they pretty?
So, I got me a few rewards...
And I have a special reward waiting for me on the last day of September.....
I am going on a pretty little cruise to the Bahamas! I haven't been on a real vacation in a very long time! This is what I am going to be looking forward to and will be my reward at the end of this journey! I. am. so. excited.
they were 70% off! hard to pass up!

Week 2 (an almost disappointment)
So, I weighed myself on Monday and the scale said I didn't lose any weight. I was BUMMED. I had a pretty good week. I definitely had challenges. I attended two parties. For me party = food. I planned my strategy all week. I was going to save all of my extra points and I was going to increase my exercise time, and I was going to fill up on veggies and fruit at the party. I actually followed the plan pretty well. I might have gone over points at the party. I did have few glasses of wine. The next day we went to my nieces birthday party. I had a low point breakfast and lunch. But, there just wasn't enough points. I didn't even eat cake or ice cream. The scale said I actually gained a half of a pound. I was soooo totally upset. I had a great 5 days. Then I started that downward spiral in my head. I felt defeated. I felt like a failure and what is the point in all this anyway! I hate dieting!
I decided to get on the scale again this morning....and....I lost a pound. I think I must have been carrying around some extra water weight. Maybe from all the sodium from the last two days. Needless to say, I am counting that pound as my loss for this week and it made me realize that I am not going to give up. I know the scale is not going to make me happy every week, and I need to remember that. I also need to remember that this is not going to happen overnight. Life does happen.
This week is even going to be more challenging. Three parties this weekend! Eating, eating, drinking, and more eating is what is scheduled. A pj party with the girls involving chocolate and cheese fondue, a 40th birthday bash with a party van involved, and a welcome baby party is what is in store for me this weekend. I have already started planning. I have been exercising and saving points. Planning is key! I don't know if I will be able to count points on Friday and Saturday nights, but I will get right back into it. I will not give up!
Here is a pretty pic of my baby girl! She is going to be 8 months old in a few short days. I love you Gracie!

First week = success
I lost 4 pounds this week! I had a great week on plan. I am not participating in the new weight watchers points plus program because I just can't do change right now. I am sticking with the old. The old way worked well as long as you put your heart into it. And I put my heart into it this week. I swear, I wish I could bottle up this new year feeling of enthusiasm and determination!
Things that I forgot over the last year and a half and that I want to remember are:
1. It is okay to feel hungry! ( I will not starve!)
2. Exercise really does feel good. Just get up and do it.
3. Planning is key!
I also started the Couch to 5k program. I am now on week two. I am planning on another 5k maybe this spring/summer. Hubby said he would join me!

Welcome 2011
This is the year! The year I am going to lose weight, the year I am going to pay down debt, the year I am going to get my tonsils out, the year that I ? I can finish this sentence in so many ways. I am excited for this year. Out with the old and in with the new. I am itching to clean my house out! I want to donate and throw out all of my stuff!
So, I haven't worked out in months. I am always making excuses that I don't have time and the house work and laundry come first. Well, not this year! I am putting myself first for once. The laundry and dishes will wait!!!! My body needs me! and need it. I need to get healthy for me and for my kids. I am tired of wearing tight ugly clothes. I am tired of being self conscious all the time. I am just plain tired.
This is going to be a great year! New healthy habits will hopefully take control!!!!
