My first real challenge

So I weighed in today expecting a loss....and I weighed  the exact same weight as last week.  I am not going to lie.  I am disappointed.    I know that I will not lose every week, but I am really working hard here.  I worked out 6 days this week burning over 700 calories at a time at the gym.  I am so MAD!!!!

I immediately went to the gas station and bought a Dove Chocolate bar and ate it like a maniac!  LOL...what the hell?     It was six points of pure deliciousness...

I am a true emotional eater.  I could have just bought a few doughnuts too.  But, I recovered from my manic outburst.

This is my first real challenge.  I will usually go ahead and give up and give in.  Just go down the path of ...." I am just going to be fat my whole life....."  speech and move on and shove all of my WW materials in a drawer never to be seen again.

This is my challenge to not give up.

So I had a minor set back.   I gotta keep going.  Keep moving in the right direction or I will never get there.   It is just so hard to see the scale stay the same when I have worked so hard.  It really upset me!!!!

UGHHHH! Why isn't this easy?  Why do I have to be fat?  Why don't I have any skinny genes????  Why isn't life fair???????

I could just laugh at these ridiculous questions.

SO, I am moving on.  I will count that candy bar.  I will track it.  I will be accountable.  I will continue on with this journey.

 I can do this, right?

RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Feeling good!

Week 3 on WW is a success!  I lost another 3. 2 pounds!  Happy happy and more happy with this result!

The best part is that I feel so much better!  I am over 7 pounds lighter!  A great loss means more motivation for me!

Another great part to this week is that I was able to incorporate eating out for a friends birthday and still lose.  We ate at PF Changs and I was really stressing about what I could eat there.  I lose control when I eat out because I don't know all of the nutrition facts and portion sizes...and the food is sooooo good!

Well I really prepared by looking up the points values online and figuring out what was best to order.  The chicken lettuce wraps there are awesome!  I even had dessert.  They have these mini desserts and I ordered the mini "Great Wall of Chocolate".   Lets just say that it was mind blowing orgasmic!

I also incorporated exercise in to that day and extra on the next day.  And I made sure to have  a light breakfast and lunch!

Super happy about results this week!  Next week marks a whole month on WW and I am gonna celebrate.  I haven't stuck to a plan this long in over a year!  Last year I learned that if I eat whatever the heck I wanted that I would gain.  I now know that eating whatever I want all the time is not in the cards for me.  I am going to have to work at this my entire life....like it or not.   It is tough....but that is the truth.

Another thing I realized is that regular exercise is needed....your body and heart need it.   So I just have to do it!

Yay me!!!

 worth it.

Just a few words to remember and keep me going!

Week 2

I lost another 1.6 #'s.  It's coming off...slowly but surely.  I am happy for a loss, but I think my actual weight was off a bit.  You see, I worked all night, then weighed in before bedtime.  So, even though I weighed in the morning....it was really a "night weight."  I notice I retain more water and all that after work.  My ankles get a little swollen after working all night.  So, I will take that loss and see what happens on the scale next week.  I will also be weighing in "@ night" again...as I work Wednesday night next week....and the next few weeks after that.

The week went pretty smooth.  I stayed on track and exercised my butt off 6 days.   I must say, I feel better than I have in months!  Now that is a plus!

I have to keep reminding myself of the reasons to lose...

* I will feel better
* I will look better
* I will  decrease my risk of Diabetes
* I will be able to move around easier
* I will breathe easier
* I will live longer
* I will have more confidence

Just a few....

Week 1

I lost 2.4 pounds.  As you can see there is not an exclamation point.  I am a little disappointed.  Usually the first week on WW shows a large loss.  This was just so so.  I know I am being ridiculous!  I should just be happy that I lost weight!

Moving along....

I felt great this week.  I was very dedicated and followed the plan to a T.  I never went over on points.  I exercised 4 days this week.   I had lots of fruits and veggies and planned my meals out....Lots of water...didn't get hungry too much.

The meeting today was about planning.  Making sure you have a plan.  This is hard to work on for me.  My schedule is so crazy.  Sometimes I am awake over 26 hours and the plan sometimes fails when you are very hungry and tired.  Lucky for me, the first week on WW, it worked out I only worked 1 day.  The one day wasn't so bad.

Goal for this week is to plan out dinner...

And have low point snacks available.

I did it!

I re-joined weight watchers for the 4th time in my life!  I am really excited about the program.  I am looking forward to the accountability.  I had my first meeting today and received all the materials I need.  I then went grocery shopping and bought a ton of fruits and veggies.  I am already tired.   I have been awake since 330 am... I just could not sleep. I tossed and turned all night long.  I think it was anxiety excitement related to joining today.   I don't know....but I laid there in the dark for hours....it is def nap time!
Anyway, I just wanted to make it official!

I will be weighing in weekly with my thoughts...and hopefully my losses.

Here's to a great week!

Motto

This is my motto for 2012!  My head is in the game today.  I am determined.

Resolutions

Am I already talking about resolutions?  YES.

2011 has been a challenging year for me.  I am so glad to see it go.  I cannot wait to start fresh and new.  There is always that magical feeling on January first that makes you feel like you can just start over.   This year January first is on a Sunday...New year and new week too!  That is a sign.   A sign for me to start again with Weight Watchers.  For years I have been off and on trying to do it on my own.  I don't think I have actually been to a meeting since Allie was one years old.  I know that I can be successful with joining.....because I will be held accountable weighing in front of someone every week.  So, I have decided that even if I think I can't afford to go every week, that I will join.  I have to do something.  I am at the highest weight I have ever been.  It does not feel good.  I feel heavy.  I feel tired all the time.  I feel depressed.  I feel weak.  I feel bloated.  I feel bad.  I don't want to feel like that anymore.

My second resolution is to save money and pay off bills.   The bills just keep adding up more and more.  Life with 4 kids is not cheap.   Just a trip to Subway for dinner today cost me $33. Ervin and I have already splurged for a trip to Cancun this coming March 2012......and I think that will be my only splurge for the year.  We probably shouldn't have even planned this trip because we cannot afford it.  But, I figured it was an investment in our marriage.   A time we need to reconnect.   We never really had a honeymoon.   Anyway, I definitely want to pay off some bills and commit to saving money in all aspects of my life.  Gotta stop using credit cards,  use coupons, shop thrift stores.  I am almost to the point of cutting our cable.   Our fridge died on us this week so I just bought a brand new one (after spending $140 to repair it ourselves) from Best Buy.  They had 18 months sames as cash.  So there is an additional expense.  I swear.....that fridge was only 8 years old.  I guess they only make fridges to last 10 years.   If that is the case...this one better last 12.

Ervin just called me to tell me he won a trip to the Bahamas.  I am quite skeptical of it all.  The guy on the phone is like...Hello?  You guys just won!  You don't sound excited enough.  Sound like a scam to me.   Guess I will find out sooner or later!

Good luck to all of you and your new years resolutions!
