Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be thankful for! I have a wonderful family, great friends, a great job, health, a little baby on the way, the bestest children on earth, a home to live in, a vehicle to drive, heat in my home, food in my fridge, tivo, Taylor Lautner......lol.....There is so much to be thankful for! I wouldn't ever stop typing if I wrote everything I was thankful for. Today is a great day to remember what we are thankful for.....

We are celebrating at my in-laws house this year.....my parents and other family are out of town! I am missing them! Then, I have the great privilege to work tonight...maybe I will be lucky enough to be in the presence of a beautiful happy birth.

A night at the movies...

I confess.....I am a Twilight lover! So of course when New Moon came out today I had to go out and watch...problem was no sitter....so I planned to just watch by myself...but Allie (my 5 year old) begged to watch with me.....so I took her to the madness. We planned to go to the 6:30 showing and just barely made it....we bought the last 2 tickets! Stopped by the concession stand and splurged on popcorn....stopped by the bathroom (because there was no way I was leaving the theater once it started!) and entered the theater right as the previews started. We walked up and down the stairs with no two seats in sight! We ended up sitting right in the first row of the theater. ( dizzy) Reading the books, I have always been a fan of Edward. The love story between Edward and Bella just had me captivated. I have always been an Edward fan! But now.....I am so confused! Jacob Black was so HOT in New Moon! SO HOT! HOT people! H O T
H O T! So anyway...I had a great time with my girl.....we had some serious mother/daughter time.....I was afraid the movie was going to be a little inappropriate for a 5 year old...but she really enjoyed it! And we really enjoyed each others company. That was probably the most fun out of the whole night!

Halloween candy still lingers in the house...despite the "donations" to the hospital...

She's a big girl!

Yeah, we did it....we got her ears pierced! She cried for about....30 seconds...but it is done! I know there is some controversy about piercing ears at this young age but really I don't care! I think it is a cultural thing as well. We Filipino people do it young! I had my ears pierced when I was a baby too.....and I don't remember a thing about it! and neither will Maddie! Doesn't she just look adorable?? Love it!

Baby Update

I had a doctor's appointment today which went well. I heard my baby's heart beat for the first time ever. Something about that first time is something special. It would have been more special if I hadn't been so focused on the baby next to me crying! I brought Maddie along with me and she was one big grouch! I was trying to calm her as the doctor was searching for heart tones.........when he found them and Maddie was quiet it was a great sound to hear. I then had my labs drawn and they already scheduled my ultrasound for late December. This pregnancy is moving right along. I was prescribed some zofran......(thank God) because the nausea is unreal...I am nauseated all day it seems......it does come and go....and some days are better than others.......but I am really sick of it....literally. It is mind boggling to me how I can puke 4-5 times a day..... have nausea all day.......and still gain weight! What is up with that? I guess that is just how I roll. I am up 3 pounds.....and my clothes know it too. I have no clothes that really fit me. When I see my body in the mirror....it looks like one saggy stretch mark! GROSS! But I am dead serious......maybe I should say.....saggy and full of stretch marks. My whole body has stretch marks on it.....(sigh).......... anyway...yes I am only 11 weeks......and yes....I am wearing maternity pants!

Halloween 09

Halloween was a great time all around. I was able to get someone to cover me at work for a couple of hours while I played with the kids. They stayed out for the whole 2 hours and brought lots and lots of candy home.....I made them donate some of the candy to the hospital...aka nurses who need chocolate....lol....
